Steven Rust, Business Systems Analyst. Steve Rust joined WMSTI upon graduation from Grand Valley State University in May 2010. His keenness for accountability enables "The Initiative" to enhance metrics implementation which creates attraction to Business Incubation for new entrepreneur success. Rust has other essential tasks such as: database creation, contact management and resource collaboration with the National Business Incubator Association (NBIA).

Rust earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Non-Profit Administration from Grand Valley State University's rapidly expanding School of Community and Public Service. His concentration was in Public Budget and Finance. He is very proud to be a graduate of this collaborative program and credits his skills to the knowledgeable professors and fellow classmates met during his studies.

Rust completed three dynamic internships that offer on the job experience while currently expanding his knowledge of software systems. He completed his first internship as an Administrative Assistant with State Farm Insurance's Matt Crosby in Muskegon, Michigan. His second internship was with the Muskegon Chamber of Commerce as Assistant to Vice President of Government Affair's Janessa Stroud. His final internship was with the West Michigan Strategic Alliance as Development Specialist to Greg Northrup, in vibrant Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Steve is part of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Grand Rapids. You might also see Steve at JW Marriott's Six One Six restaurant where he is part of the service staff.
