Alliant Healthcare Products acquires Surge Medical Solutions

The Charter Group is pleased to announce that its client, Alliant Healthcare Products of Richland, MI, has acquired the assets of Surge Medical Solutions, a subsidiary of Cascade Engineering.

The Charter Group served as M&A advisor to Alliant Healthcare Products in initiating, negotiating and closing the transaction. Charter's private capital investment affiliate, Charter Capital Fund I, has been a growth equity investor in Alliant since 2007.

Alliant Healthcare Products was established in 2002 by Air Force veteran Bob Taylor, and specializes in the design, development, manufacture and marketing of disposable medical products for the U.S. healthcare market. The company manufactures more than a dozen product lines in two class 10,000 clean rooms for the cardiovascular, urology and general surgery markets. 

Surge Medical Solutions produces proprietary disposable medical devices for use in the cardiovascular surgery market. Surge has an innovative product line, lean manufacturing process and worldwide distribution network that will strategically complement Alliant's growing medical/surgical product portfolio.
