Science. Technology. Business.

The mission of the West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative is to inspire innovation and commercialize science and technology in the emerging life sciences industry.  WMSTI’s goal is the generation of new jobs and diversification of the regional economy.  With help from our partners and a commitment to our leading life science researchers and entrepreneurs, West Michigan will become a global center for one or more segments of the life sciences.

To support this mission the West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative offers four core services:

  1. Build life science industry support infrastructure
  2. Provide commercialization and new business development services
  3. Establish a collaborative network of researchers, entrepreneurs, business service providers and capital
  4. Educate regional leaders and the local community through seminars and evening networking events
Virtual Company

Tenants and all clients have access to our four Virtual Company partners for professional services as they grow.  These key support services are required at key times during the growth of a small and vibrant business; and our Virtual Company partners are particularly sensitive to the needs and challenges of small businesses that are growing fast.  They serve them well.

For more information on the Virtual Company and how they can better serve you, contact Rich Cook, venture center director at cookri@gvsu.edu
